The Professional Perspective
Why Therapist Wellness Matters
Massage therapists rely on their hands, wrists, and forearms during every treatment session. Over time, repetitive movements, sustained pressure, and high client volume can place significant physical demands on practitioners, affecting comfort, recovery, and long-term career sustainability.
As CBD topical products become increasingly common in professional massage settings, it is important to better understand how they perform during routine clinical practice, including therapist safety, practitioner experience, and real-world outcomes.
To better understand these effects, this practitioner impact study evaluated massage therapists’ experiences using Carpe Diem CBD topicals during real-world client massage sessions in their own practices. Therapists completed surveys immediately before and after each massage to assess changes in comfort and their overall experience while using the products.

Therapist Testimonials
The following testimonials reflect practitioner experiences using Carpe Diem CBD Topicals during professional massage therapy sessions.
“As someone who treats clients all day, taking care of my own hands is essential. Since using Carpe Diem CBD creams, I’ve noticed less discomfort in my hands and wrists after consecutive treatment sessions. It’s become an important part of supporting the physical demands of my work and helping me continue doing what I love.”
— Elena, Licensed Massage Therapist
“In a clinical setting, a topical has to clear two bars: it has to work for the client, and it can’t compromise the practitioner. A lot of products fail the second one. I’d apply a menthol-heavy cream and spend the next three hours with cold, half-numb hands… which is a real problem when you have back-to-back sessions and your hands are the tool.
Carpe Diem solved that. There’s no lingering cold, no residue issue, and I can move directly into the next appointment at full capacity and with a pleasant scent lingering in the room.
Clients respond to it. It supports the work we’re already doing and I see better outcomes with it in the protocol. The lemongrass and essential oil profile is a real part of that — the experience feels intentional rather than medicinal, and people comment on the smell in a good way.
I also care about where products come from. It’s great knowing Carpe Diem handles the whole chain internally — they grow it, extract it, and formulate it themselves. That’s rare, and it means there’s a real answer when I ask what’s in something. On top of that, they’ve been a genuinely supportive partner. Easy to reach, easy to work with, invested in whether it’s working for us.”
— Andrew R., LMT, L.Ac
“Recovery between clients is just as important as caring for my clients. Applying Carpe Diem CBD creams throughout the day has become an important part of supporting my own well-being.”
— Owen, Licensed Massage Therapist
